Gesman Tamang

Gesman Tamang is a respected mountaineer with technical mastery of the Himalayan peaks. He is certified by both NNMGA and the prestigious IFMGA, and has been featured in the acclaimed documentary “14 Peaks”. Having begun a career in mountaineering as a porter at just 14, Gesman is now one of Nepal’s most accomplished leaders in the field of mountaineering.

Gesman has a list of remarkable accolades in his career. He has successfully summited 13 8000-meter peaks, including Mount Everest (5 times), K2, Kanchenjunga, and two oxygen-free ascents of Annapurna. Along his illustrious career, he has also had the opportunity to lead a visually impaired climber to the Everest summit, and has the highest recorded live and body recovery rescues in the Himalayas.
